Students in Room 123 love looking at the ClustrMap on our class blog, especially checking the list of states and countries we have had visitors from. These bloggers decided to create a tour of Richards to share with visitors from far away.
First, students brainstormed a list of possible places at Richards to include, and then voted to determine the top ten spots. Using what they have learned about nonfiction text features, pairs of students worked together: one student took the photo and the other wrote the caption. Enjoy your tour of Richards School!

Dear first graders,
I enjoyed taking your tour of Richards tonight – it felt like I was really there!
I wonder if you will ever do a tour of your classroom – I would like to see what it looks like and what you do when you are there.

Dear Mrs. Mooneys Class,
WOW! I really enjoyed the tour through our school. This would be nice for new families to see. They could realize how just great the students, teachers and Richards School are. Nice job!
