In Room 123, we celebrate every lost tooth with a cheer. When we returned to school after winter break, we had seven lost teeth to recognize!
Students quickly figured out that the class needed to lose 10 teeth in January to beat the number lost in December. The class then considered how likely that is to happen and shared their thinking.
Then students weighed the evidence.
Finally, students shared whether they thought it probable or not likely that the class would lose 10 teeth in January.
Around the middle of the month, we will return to this question and share any new evidence that might change thinking. Look for an update in a few weeks!
