Life’s most persistent and urgent question
Students in Room 123 celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. They began by recalling all the facts they thought they knew about his life.
As we read a biography of Dr. King, students confirmed much of what they thought they knew and added additional learning.
Then students were challenged to think about a statement Dr. King made: Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing for others?” After discussing how they could answer this question, students recorded their responses in their Learning Logs.
