Spending, saving, donating: how do people make decisions about their money? First graders are exploring answers to that question as part of our Social Studies curriculum.
Over the next few weeks, each first grade class will be making goods or preparing thank you notes for donations to a charitable organization. Then they will all have the chance to buy some of these goods, donate to the American Red Cross, or save their money at the First Grade Marketplace.
Before they can spend, save, or donate money, of course, people have to earn it. Students in Room 123 had the chance to do this week.
